Lab of the Month

Bailey

Bailey is my very special boy, my first dog, my companion, and such an important part of our family. My beautiful chocolate Labrador will turn 11 on September 15, 2026. He is clever, loving, loyal, and so food-motivated that he can even open his own treat cupboard! Bailey has also shown incredible strength. After being diagnosed with cancer over a year ago, he had a tumour removed from his leg and a metal implant fitted, which later developed an infection requiring ongoing treatment. Through it all, he remains gentle, happy, and always by our side. We feel incredibly blessed to still have him with us, and after everything he has faced, every extra day with Bailey truly feels like a gift. ❤️

Meet Reese, our fox red Lab! She's happiest with a hose spraying water, a dog park full of new friends, or a pool to dive into. If there's food involved, she's first in line! Reese also loves cruising around on golf cart rides and exploring new places with her pawrents by her side. This month is an extra special one because she's getting promoted to big sister, and we can't wait to see her take on her newest adventure with that same loving, playful spirit.

Jasper is absolutely the smartest Labrador I have ever had! He loves food! When he was a puppy, his breeder named him Chubby because he was always the first one to eat 😂. He loves walks and also loves playing in Lake Michigan! His favorite thing to do is to find minnows in the water! We love him so much! ❤️

We had to say goodbye to our sweet black Lab in April. We surprised our daughters and 2-year-old Lab with another forever friend! It helps heal the hole in our hearts!

He’s our sweet 2.5-year-old Lab! At just over 2 years old, we discovered he had a mast cell tumor in his tail and had to have his tail amputated! Now he really does wag with his whole body! He watches his family closely while we are swimming, and he makes it known whenever someone goes underwater.

Meet Harley, our beautiful strawberry blonde Lab. She's playful, super cuddly, and just a little bit crazy. Harley loves rolling in grass, mud, and sand, stealing hair ties off people's heads, swimming, and, of course, never saying no to a snack. 😂

She has been the nicest girl ever since the day we met. She is kind to everything around her. She had a stroke 6 years ago and afterwards she survived with one hind leg, and now with osteoarthritis. With all the pain, she is still so strong, so kind, and still with the puppy face even if she is 14 now. She is so clever and so cautious, she never takes any reckless step. As a Labrador she loved swimming, but since the stroke she hesitates. She doesn't swim long distance as before, but she loves to go inside and shake her body.

Finley

Finley is our beautiful 9-year-old Labrador and quite simply the best boy. Gentle, funny, loving and endlessly loyal, he has brought so much happiness into our lives and is the most incredible big brother to our 13-month-old daughter, Matilda, showing her nothing but patience and unconditional love through all the toddler chaos. Last year, Finley was sadly diagnosed with lymphoma, so every moment with him feels even more precious. Whether he’s pulling his silliest faces, eating anything remotely edible, snoozing whenever possible, or simply being his wonderful self, Finley fills our lives with joy.
